Linear LED lights were installed in the kitchen and loft. The cost for the fixtures alone (not including the electrical work) was $4,465.57.
Coverage and colour
Despite emails and comments on the change order to confirm 4200K neutral white lights would be installed, 3000K warm white lights were installed. Additionally, the illumination over the counter (where light is most needed) is severely lacking.

Bugs and debris inside the lights
Out of 12 linear LEDs, eight have bugs and debris (so far). Since they are recessed into the ceiling there is no way to access them for cleaning.
Exposed aluminum frames, dead spaces and paint on housing
The linear LEDs are intended to be flush with the surface (literally called Blend; the product spec sheet says "stealth system was created for lighting that blends into the surrounding area").
